Traci is an Augusta, Georgia native who obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia. Her focus then was interior design but her diverse artistic flair kept her hand in fabric painting in addition to her major studies.

Traci lived in Colorado and Maine for two years, but she returned to Augusta where she met her husband, Preston. Married in 1992, Traci and Preston have four children between the two of them.

Traci's interest in photography was really spurred on by her creative endeavors with Christmas cards.  One key moment in her daily activities involving a snail on a garage door made her take a breath and realize she needed to focus on her God-given talent as a photographer. She wanted to capture moments and pair them with the thoughts in her mind. With her artistic vision, creative thoughts and personal touches, Traci felt the need to make her own cards. With the often-impersonal emails of modern day, the human touch of photography and hand-written thoughts encourage Traci to keep personalized correspondence an important part of her life.

Traci "just loves" taking pictures and finds it a spiritual way to share her talents with friends and family. Her other artistic endeavors such as pottery, wall hangings and scarves have brought her much joy as another outlet for her creativity but her photography is currently her passion. Along with horseback riding, cooking and gardening, Traci likes to take the opportunity that photography provides to "slow down" and take it all in.
